With over 15 years of consumer insights and strategy experience, Danny is a research expert with extensive experience in both quantitative and qualitative research methods. He is driven by his passion for people and what they think, feel, and do as well as the practical application of these insights.
Danny is a native English speaker who also speaks fluent Cantonese and basic Mandarin. He has a broad range of experience working on an array of research projects with for-profit and non-profit organisations in Asia Pacific. Previous clients include Toyota, MTR Corporation, Animals Asia Foundation, R U OK?, Dementia Australia, Xero, Swire Properties, and adidas China.
Danny is passionate about advocating for mental health and well-being. He founded PAGODA with the vision of providing world-class people insights and strategic advice accessible to the social sectors in the two magical places he calls home: Hong Kong and Australia.
Prior to embarking on his entrepreneurial journey, he gained valuable consulting and research experience through working with the University of Melbourne, Ipsos, GfK, C|T Group, The Gemba Group, Student Edge, and Deloitte. Danny understands how to tailor the best-in-class methodologies from the corporate world to the unique needs of the social sector.
Danny currently holds a MSc in Marketing & Strategy from Warwick Business School, UK. In the fall of 2022, he will undertake the Master of Applied Positive Psychology (MAPP) program at the University of Pennsylvania to learn the science of wellbeing and strengthen his research toolkit for assessing social impact.
